Founder and principal, Matt Corsi, brings 22 years of knowledge and experience in the design and construction of large commercial buildings as well as an additional 7 years in the acquisition and development of large multi-family projects in the greater Seattle and Portland markets. Matt excels at finding development opportunities and bringing people together.
His lifelong interest in real estate, buildings, design, cities, urban life, and commercial development led him to co-found Urban Evolution in 2010. Matt has extensive local and national experience working on large scale office, parking, retail, residential, mixed use, and medical building projects and leverages this experience to provide our investors and partners the balance of skills and depth of knowledge required to succeed in the development business.
Matt is a lifelong resident of the Pacific Northwest. He has volunteered as a Board Member and President of the Seattle Architecture Foundation and served on the University of Washington Advisory Board for Commercial Real Estate. Matt is a licensed civil engineer and holds both a BSCE, Certificate in Commercial Real Estate Development, and a Certificate in Business Administration from the University of Washington.
Julie brings over twenty years of experience in real estate development to Urban Evolution. After fifteen years managing all aspects of the development of multifamily and single family projects, both conventional and affordable, senior and family, she has deep knowledge of development. She is drawn to the complex. She has a passion for projects that are blazing new trails in how we live, work and build community.
In addition, seven years as a consultant on real estate strategy, asset management and portfolio turnaround has given Julie the "long view". Thoughtful decision making and detail at the beginning of the project has an enormous impact on value down the road. Julie has a personal interest in helping people secure their financial future with thoughtfully developed assets that bring energy and vibrancy to a community and grow in value.
Julie has an undergraduate degree in architecture from the University of Colorado and a Masters of Urban Planning from the University of Washington. A Certificate in Commercial Real Estate and Certificate in Project Management from the UW round out her educational background. She has spent her career exploring real estate development and healthy communities from all perspectives including fields as seemingly unlikely as neurobiology, sociology and healthy aging.
